"Now that's Church!"

Our devotions are such a good reminder of our day, we have decided to continue to share our blog using the terms and lessons we learned together.  Tonight the question was

 "How were you blessed today?"

"Seeing the kids waiting for our arrival

and chasing the van as we left"

"The opportunity to visit homes and praying over the sick."

"Meeting Boyce (the farmer) who runs the green house project in Molelwane."

The biggest crop is spinach (a local favorite).
The borders of each bed are made of recycled soda bottles.
Just two months ago they got electricity to pump water to the garden.  Prior to this, Boyce had to water the garden by carrying buckets twice a day.

In Molelwane, many of the homes were marked with this yellow X.  The X signifies the owners are now able to get a government house built on the property.

Isn't it nice to know Pastor Kassebaum is not only our shepherd at Victory,
but also a shepherd of goats in Africa?  Is it his Nebraska background?

"Feeding the children and watching the older children help the younger ones"

"The kids in Molelwane touched my heart"

There is just not enough time to play with the children at VBS

"I  am blessed to have lived through the hopscotch demonstration"

The hopscotch was built using the words of the VBS bible verse.  Do you remember?
I praise you because of the wonderful way you made me. Psalm 139:14

"I was most blessed by watching all of you"

Which one is Rick??!!?!

During our devotion time we discovered anew - It is when we are giving beyond our comfort zone that we are the most blessed.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

1 Corinthians 13:4

Good Night from Africa
